Q. I have decided to go ahead and have a breast enlargement. However, I am completely needle phobic…particularly of having canulas put in! Do you use standard size cannulas? I find these are really, really painful when I have them put in. Is it possible to use smaller ones or am I just going to have to bear it??
A. Thank you very much for your enquiry about breast enlargement surgery. I can really understand about your phobia for needles but I can assure you that normally this is not too bad. In particular we use numbing cream on the back of the hand and insert the smallest fine canular in this area. Because of the numbing cream you’ll very unlikely to feel or indeed see the needle and many people are surprised whether it’s actually being inserted. Overall, I’ve never had a patient complained about the size or pain of the needles as we do make it reappear to make it experience as possible for you.
